Living in a tight-knit community is incredible but also, rarely offers a space for individuality. Taking pictures offers us the chance to be with ourselves and our surroundings, documenting our realities from behind the lens. Youth from one of the most poverty-stricken areas of coastal communities in Kerala observed their school, their safe-space, from behind the lens, seeing the S.I.S.P. Center very different perspectives and angles, examining lights and the shadows, metaphors for life.
